3.3.2 Sharing with Write Accessibility

Use-
1. Sharing record with write access, user will be able to edit them. User gets access to different functionalities.

2. Depending on requirement user can share records with particular users with write access
 
How to do it?



1. Login to Salesforce as an administrator or user. All Collections/Credentials records in the application are as below

2. Right click on e-Commerce Collection & select Sharing option. Manage Sharing window is displayed as below.

3. Click on "Add User Sharing" box. Enter a name of a user record to share. Being auto complete field matching records will be provided. Click on a record to add sharing. Click on Write toggle button. This will change access level to Write.

4. Check Sharing on subordinates as well. Same sharing is applied to all subordinates.

In this way, sharing on parent Collection record is applied recursively to all its subordinates.
 
5. Login to Salesforce as the user. Collections that are accessible are only displayed.

6. Right click on Collection record & select option Create Credential. As user is having write access of Collection
Create Credential window is opened.

Enter details & click on Save button.

Check Owner of Credential displayed on Manage Sharing window. Owner of Collection is the owner of Credential as well.

7. Right click Collection record & select Rename Collection option. As user is having write access, it is allowed to edit Collection Name. Edit Name & click on Rename button.

8. Right click a Collection record & select option Delete Collection. A confirmation message is displayed. Click on Yes button to delete Collection. Though user is having write access of Collection, it is not allowed to delete Collection.

9. Right click any Collection record & select option Edit->Cut. Right click any other Collection created by user & select Edit->Paste option.

Click on Yes button to continue. Collection along with its subordinates is moved successfully.

10. Right click a Collection record & select option Create Collection. User can create Collection. Create Collection window is opened. Enter Collection Name & click on Save button.

11. Right click a Collection record & select option Sharing. Manage Sharing window is displayed to user. User can add a sharing record as well as edit access level of previously added sharing records.

Click into Add User Sharing box. Enter a name of a user. Being an autocomplete field, all matching records are displayed. Click on required record to add sharing.

This sharing is also applied recursively to all subordinates.
 
12. Right click on any child Collection record & select option Move To Root. A confirmation is displayed. Click on Yes button to continue. As user having Read access is not allowed to move a child Collection to root.

13. Right click a Collection record & select Clear All Sharing. A message is displayed as below.

14. Click on Edit button of Credential. Create Credential window is opened in editable mode. Edit Credential. Click on
     Save button. Credential is updated successfully.

15.  Click on Delete button of Credential. A confirmation message is displayed. Click on Yes button to continue. Though write access of a Credential is provided user can not delete Credential.

16. Click on Share button of a Credential. Manage Sharing window is opened to display other sharing records. User
can change the access level as well as add another sharing record.
