How to Set Up Document Generator

Updated yesterday

Overview

This article outlines all required steps for configuring the docuWeaver application to enable document generation on a Salesforce.

Pre-requisite

Following are the prerequisites:

  1. A noKodr account is required. Creation of a noKodr account is a prerequisite for generating documents from Salesforce.

  2. A noKodr instance is required. The instance provides the necessary environment and settings for backend processing and data storage related to document and email generation.noKodr Instance

Instance

A noKodr instance functions similarly to an organization and includes all required settings such as workspaces, applications, users, automations, and other configurations. Since the docuWeaver document generator is not a native Salesforce application, it requires a noKodr instance to handle backend processes and to store data related to document and email generation.

When an instance is created during the document generator setup, the following items are provisioned:

  1. The docuWeaver application within the default docuWeaver workspace is installed on the specified noKodr instance.

  2. A default user, such as an Admin, is added to the instance. This user is typically the one who creates the instance.

This setup enables seamless integration, management, and storage of documents templates from Salesforce, while leveraging noKodr’s low-code platform for application customization and workflow automation
