  3. Simply drag and drop the docuWeaver component to the desired location on your record page layout.

  4. Configure component properties if required (e.g. Allowed Storage Profile, Max File Size(kB),Always ask profile, Base Path).

Note: The base path defines the default folder structure for file storage within docuWeaver.

By default, the structure is configured as {schema:objectName}/{record:Id}. This configuration creates a folder named after the Salesforce object (e.g., Account) and a subfolder using the record's unique ID (e.g., 0015j00000XyYzZAAU). All attachments related to that specific record are stored within this folder.

Each Salesforce record automatically generates a unique folder based on its ID. The base path can be customized by referencing any record field, such as {Account.Name}, or by specifying a static folder name, such as Legal_Docs.

This allows for flexible organization of attachments according to business requirements.

  5. Click the Save button in the top-right corner to apply the changes to the record page.

    Drag & Drop docuWeaver component

  6. Once the docuWeaver component is placed on the record page, it will allow you to upload files directly from your local system.
